Sheet Metal Rolling | Equipment & Forming Capabilities

Suitable for machinery, equipment enclosures, cylindrical structures, tanks, and various custom sheet metal components. We support single-piece prototyping, small-batch production, and volume manufacturing.

Sheet Metal Rolling Capabilities

Item Capability
Equipment Hydraulic Plate Rolling Machine
Process Sheet Metal Rolling

Actual processing conditions are evaluated and determined based on material type, sheet thickness, sheet dimensions, required curvature, and product structure.

What Parts Can Be Made with Sheet Metal Rolling?

Sheet metal rolling gradually forms flat metal sheets through rollers to achieve the required curved or cylindrical shape.

Common applications include:

  • Cylindrical Sheet Metal Components
  • Curved Equipment Enclosures
  • Machinery Structural Components
  • Tanks and Container Structures
  • Metal Guards and Covers
  • Tubular Structural Components
  • Custom Curved Sheet Metal Parts

Unlike flat cutting and press brake bending, rolling is particularly suitable for components requiring continuous curves or curved forming.

Sheet Metal Rolling vs. Press Brake Bending

Both rolling and press brake bending are sheet metal forming processes, but they differ in forming methods and the types of structures they are suited for.

Comparison Sheet Metal Rolling Press Brake Bending
Forming Method Continuous forming through rollers Bending with upper and lower tooling
Main Shapes Curves, cylinders, continuous surfaces Straight bends and angled forms
Suitable Parts Cylindrical and curved structures Boxes, enclosures, brackets
Forming Characteristics Creates continuous curved surfaces Creates defined bending angles
Common Applications Cylinders, tanks, curved enclosures Equipment enclosures, structural components, electrical enclosures

The appropriate forming method is selected based on the product design, material characteristics, dimensions, and required shape.

From Flat Sheet to Curved Form

Sheet metal rolling can be integrated with other sheet metal fabrication processes:

Laser Cutting → Sheet Metal Rolling → Sheet Metal Welding → Secondary Processing / Assembly

For example, laser cutting can first be used to create the required sheet profile and hole patterns, followed by rolling to form the curved structure. Welding and assembly can then be performed according to the product design.

Chuang Pu Technology integrates different fabrication processes based on customer drawings and product requirements to manufacture custom sheet metal components and structural parts.
